This review is long overdue. This was a great purchase for our family. I have 2 daughters who are now 3 and 6 (they were 2 and 5 at time of purchase) and they loved it. Obviously the 3 year old mimics only 10% of the moves but she feels like she is playing too and has a great time. They still play with it periodically but there was a good period of about 3-4 months where they played every day. The graphics are cool and the moves are fun. Even the world dance was a hit. It's the type of game where you can just get up and dance the first time and have fun. It also allows you to practice and get higher scores. Came with a lot of songs and I even bought a few additional at $2.99 per song. To this day whenever people come over whether adults or kids they seem to have a blast playing for a while.
It's a moderate-quality display in a cheap plastic case. The on/off button broke the first time I turned it off after about 45 days of use; I usually just let it enter power-save mode, but I knew my computer would be off for a while so I tried to turn off the monitor. It turned off -- permanently. The plastic backing behind the power button snapped off and the button fell inside the case. Called HP tech support; they say that this problem is excluded from their 1-year warranty because I must have used the monitor not as intended, or that it was damaged in shipping (the box was not damaged). They do claim to allow 30 days for the user to discover initial defects, but I guess they don't believe that a power button should last longer than 30 presses, let alone one!
First off, this thing is massive. For the most part, seems pretty durable. It is definitely difficult to put together the first time and makes you think you're going to break it, but so far, I have not. However, the biggest complaint is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to connect the velcro once you have this put together to close the holes. The material is simply not large enough. I was able to get it "good enough" so there's hardly any light spill, but it's definitely not seamless. But for the price, not bad. But should still work as promised. Would give it more stars if the fabric was big enough to actually attach.
