  • Shelly Lust - Great combination of science, adventure, and romance.

I really enjoyed the way the story opens. There are events unfolding in the present and flashbacks that provide some backstory. I am not a science buff, and though the technologies are very cool, I am drawn more to the relationships developing among the characters: power struggles and budding romance, crisis management and heroic rescues, suspicion and trust, aggression and affection, self-doubt and soul searching. Six explorers of sorts on a mission to investigate a mysterious spacecraft have to prepare themselves to face any number of adversities at their destination, but also overcome the trials of spending 10 months in a small transport with micro gravity and even less privacy. Tensions are high when they dock, and things quickly go downhill from there. Will they be able to work together to make contact, complete their mission, and return home, or will they get in each other's way? When they find another force at play, who will determine if it is friend or foe? Will emotions interfere with duties? Can a budding romance survive a shift in power? Will all my questions be answered, or will I have to wait for the sequel?

  • Danny - it's okay not the best.

Well not quiet sure what to say about this book, it does cover a lot of information but i do have to say that it is all very beginner stuff that one should already know if they are trying to get certified in this field. For those who already know a lot on the subject and perhaps need a little refresher this might help you out as it will cover basic to advanced parts of the subject.

  • plyopowerd - Very nice, cleaning is a breeze

I had a set of Meyer pots and pans that were sold via infomercial, and they didn't last - within a year or so, they warped and handles became loose. This set is MUCH better. The pans are nice and heavy, and so nonstick that food practically rinses off and water beads right up.

  • Mitch10 - better than Norton or McAffee

I've had this for a few months now and Webroot is picking up malware better than other solutions. I've scanned files I suspected on my laptops with other virus programs and didn't get any hits, but Webroot did find the signatures even in zipped and RAR files. Additionally, it doesn't seem to be slowing down my machine or interfering with other programs like Norton!

  • Paul C. Birkett - Very helpful

I tried writing a database app on Access before and I just didn't "get it." I read this book and it laid a good foundation for understanding the product and how to get going. I think it's about as interesting as anyone could make a software manual without being totally cheesy.

  • Glenn - the fact that you can turn things on and off from your phone is awesome. I purchased one for mom

I originally purchased this for my AC, but my AC turns off when power is disconnected, so it doesn't work. HOWEVER, I have a Breville espresso maker that doesn't have an automatic shutoff. These little devices work perfectly, because I have it auto shut off every three hours, therefore, it will never be left on. Also, the fact that you can turn things on and off from your phone is awesome.

  • samoid213 - description inaccurate.
